Apple iPhone 7 Event on September 7 Is Official

The iPhone 7 and the Apple Watch 2 will be unveiled on September 7.

The rumors turned out to be true. Apple is indeed unveiling the new iPhone 7 on September 7. Today, Apple has sent out invites to the media for an event on September 7 at 10am PDT.

The Apple media event will take place in the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco. Apple is live streaming the event again. The page for the video stream is already live on

Apple fans always try to read into the design of the Apple invite. The colored light spots are likely a hint at the new dual lens camera.

Despite the event being on the 7th, the new iPhone might not be called iPhone 7. Sticky rumors say it could be called iPhone 6 SE. The iPhone 7 aka iPhone 6SE will feature besides the new A10 CPU, up to 256GB storage, improved cameras and an improved iPhone 6 design. The home button is likely going to be touch sensitive. Much has leaked about the iPhone 7 and not much is left for surprise, besides which models will be getting the dual lens camera and what can it actually do.

Apple is also expected to unveil the new Apple Watch 2 with GPS and Altimeter at the September 7 event.
