Google’s self-driving is going to be a commercial product in a few months. The company’s taking measures in order to introduce this car in market with a bang. It is the reason google has hired Shaun Stewart from Airbnb in order to publicize the self-driving car.

Stewart will play the role of advertising and commercializing the self-driving car project by Google. This project has been in development from the past seven years.

The last few months have seen a drastic increase in the development and most of us are hoping to see the project finalized in a coming few months. It will be Stewart’s job to make sure that thus project is commercialized fully and gains enough attention from the international market.

Chris Urmson was the chief officer of this project initially who has left prior to the hiring of Stewart. Urmson served as project leader and spokesperson until he left in 2015 and his place was taken by John Krafick who was hired by Google as the CEO of project. John was an ex-executive from Hyundai.

Over the last year Google has made sure that it develops partnership with various companies in order to collaborate with the technology.

Google is currently testing the self-driving cars on the roads. Almost 60 test vehicles are testing and have driven 1.8 million miles up till now.
