Sony PlayStation Meeting Live Stream Details Revealed

The Sony PlayStation media event will be streamed live online. Find out where below.

Tomorrow on Wednesday, September 7, Sony will unveil what to expect from Sony for the Holidays in the PlayStation Meeting in New York. The leaked Sony PS4 Slim is certain, but will Sony announce 4K capable PlayStation Neo. If they do, will this new powerful console for virtual reality ship this fall? We will have to wait until 3pm ET tomorrow to find out.

Sony did not confirm that the PlayStation Meeting will be about the new PlayStation Neo console, but most industry insiders assume that. The official name of the upgraded Sony PlayStation is not known. Rumored names are PlayStation Neo, PlayStaton 4.5 and PlayStation 4K. The PS Neo is set to compete with the Microsoft Scorpio console. Microsoft announced at the E3 that the Xbox Project Scorpio console has 6 Teraflops of performance compared to 1.31 Teraflops the Xbox One is offering. While this sounds fantastic, Scorpio is not coming in 2016. It is scheduled for release in fall of 2017.

Sony's Neo console is though expected to go on sale in time of the release of the PlayStation VR headset. Sony is set to ride the home VR wave as much as possible. Sony will land a home run with its virtual reality offering in 2016, pushing Oculus and HTC to the side. Microsoft is dead in the water in 2016 in respect to virtual reality, leaving everything to Sony.

The Sony September 7 event will be one to watch. Video game and virtual reality fans will find out just how powerful the Sony PlayStation Neo is and how much money they will have to invest to own it.

The day begins with the Apple Media event at 1pm ET. Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 7 and the Apple Watch 2. September 7 will have a major impact on Black Friday 2016 and the Holiday sales season.
