The Huawei Mate 9 will probably release before the end of this year and is expected to have a dual rear camera arrangement, but unlike other phones released by Huawei who also had this arrangement going for them such as the P9, P9 Plus and Honor 8, the dual rear camera on the Mate 9 will have optical image stabilization.

This same sort of stabilization is expected to be offered with Apple’s iPhone 7 Plus as well. A well-known Chinese analyst has relayed this information and according to him the main rear camera in the Mate 9 will have Leica branding.
The difference between what Apple is offering and what Huawei is offering is the fact that the latter is only offering one color sensor and a monochrome while the former is going offer two color units.
Apple will probably forgo using OIS for both of its sensor in the iPhone 7 Plus, due to issues with magnetic interference, however how Huawei’s Mate 9 plan on dealing with this issue remains to be seen.
The upcoming phablet by Huawei will be powered by a Kirin 960 chipset and will run EMUI 5.0 Android 7.0 Nougat. The phablet will come in 4 GB and 6 GB RAM variants and will be compatible with Cat.12 LTE.
