We had told you earlier that Apple is working on its own self-driving cars for the future. It was also being said that Apple has coordinated with various companies in order to bring out the technology by the year 2020.

However the latest news on the topic suggests that Apple is rethinking the strategy associated with its self-driving program, according to NYTimes.

As other companies are making a lot of progress in the area of Self-Driving, it looks like Apple is off to bring about some reforms in order to compete with the other brands.

There have been news about a number of people who have been laid off from their jobs from the self-driving domain of Apple. Apple has also signed a privacy contract with them, according to which they won’t be able to talk on the project outside the company.

This news was confirmed by recently laid off three employees of the company. However they did not shed any light on the workings being done as they said that they were not allowed to tell.

The jobs cuts being made show that Apple is facing struggle in building a true plan for self-driving cars. The project was named Titan and is in progress from the past two years.

However it’s been made clear that these efforts which are made by Apple are not being paid in the right way hence the project is not bearing any fruits yet.

Along with Apple many other high tech companies are trying to broaden their horizon by working on the self-driving technology.

Alphabet which is a parent company of Google is also making efforts in the domain and have gotten success at times. Along with that Uber, General Motors and Ford are also working on the same line.
