I am super excited about the new must watch car show The Grand Tour on Amazon Prime. The launch trailer dropped on Thursday.

Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May will launch The Grand Tour show on November 18. The former Top Gear hosts are back with what looks like something that tops Top Gear. Amazon released a 30 second The Grand Tour trailer that gives me goosebumps. The new motoring show will be must watch for any car fan.

It is surprising that the trailer has only 1.6 million views since its release on Thursday. Top Gear with Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May has been a world-wide success. You would think more people would have watched the trailer for their new show by now. Granted, Amazon also released the trailer as Twitter video and as Facebook video. We don't new the number of views on Twitter, but on Facebook the trailer has been seen by 2.3m. We estimate the total views so far at 5m.

Just to compare, the trailer for Walt Disney's new animated feature Moana has been seen on Youtube 5.6m times in the same time frame. Add another 7.4m views on Facebook. The Moana trailer has also been release as Twitter video. The Moana trailer has more than double the views and honestly, I have not heard about Moana, before today. It is going to big though when it will be in theaters on Thanksgiving weekend. The animated films is starring Dwayne The Rock Johnson and Auli'i Cravalho.

The Grand Tour will premiere on November 18 and then have weekly episodes released on Fridays exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. Amazon is following Netflix to offer weekly shows. Chelsey Handler's show on Netflix airs three days a week. These new formats are bringing back the way TV has worked for decades. Is binge watching on the out?
