  • Talks between Apple and McLaren have abruptly stopped

Apple was known to be in talks with McLaren to buy the car manufacturers but its seems the plan has stalled.

Many were excited to learn the tech giant Apple will be moving forward in the automotive industry. The excitement increased when Apple started talking with McLaren looking to buy the car manufacturing company.

But it seems the talks have stopped. Quite abruptly if we may point out! the biggest question right now in why? What could have happened to leave the acquisition talk at a standstill between Apple and McLarens.

The news that Apple is looking into buying McLaren for £1.5 billion was broken by the Financial Times. However a McLaren spokesman denied the claims of a potential takeover.

According to McLaren they are currently not in between any discussion with Apple over any potential investments. But cryptically remarked McLaren does have many confidential deals going on with a large number of parties with a regular frequency.

If it does not make the matter of Apple buying McLaren more intriguing then we don’t know what will.

Inside sources claim Apple and McLarens did have high levels talks in regard to working together towards making the first Apple car.

The Apple car which is still not officially confirmed but almost everyone in the car world knows its codename ‘Titan’ is still far away from a reality but believed to be released in 2020.

McLaren on the other hand is a world class car manufacturer thanks to its Formula 1 team and technology division. If Apple and McLaren do join it would mean accelerated execution of the Project Titan as McLaren is an expert in exotic car production due to its advanced engineering and data.

AutoCar sources also claim Apple was particularly interested in the exclusive patent lists of McLaren.
