  • Make way for the Driverless Cars

It looks like a driverless lane might be coming near your city.

We see car pool lanes in every big city. However times are changing and with the change in the technology of the cars being driven these days the roads are changing too. We might see the first driverless lane in the few states of US.

It is reported by CBC that a new driverless lane might be introduced on the highway from Vancouver to Seattle. This idea is delivered from multiple tech giants including the Amazon members and Microsoft’s former employees.

This lane will be a shared HOV in start. Later on it will be given the status of driverless lane. With the extent of popularity that is associated with driverless or autonomous cars, this kind of road of certainly one of the dire needs of any big city.

The driverless cars are though manufactured to make way in the traffic and to be safe in the traffic too. However a lane totally dedicated to these cars will mean more safety and more risk free carpooling as well.

The best thing that will be achieved by this concept will be shunning of public transport such as high speed rails. Initially a single lane is dedicated to the driverless cars. Later on there are rumors that we might see more than one lane on the highways of a few cities too.

With the introduction of autonomous cars from Tesla, Nissan and Chevy along with many other brands, this is something that was bound to happen and the best thing is that it is happening pretty soon.
