A racing version of Tesla Model S has been revealed ahead of Electric GT Championship.
Every electric car enthusiast is talking about the most awaited car which is none other than Tesla Model S these days. The production date was announced yesterday by Musk and now we know that our first Tesla Model S will go in production in the year 2017.

However what we didn’t know was that a racing version of Tesla Model S is also being prepared. A racing-spec Tesla Model S which is specially designed to take part in GT Championship has been revealed by the automaker ahead of the official release.
This car will take part in the championship and will provide the best opportunity for people to learn about its functions.
The EDT car V1.3 is actually a Tesla Model S P85+ which is specially modified in order to take part in the race. The engineers working on it have made sure that it gets the best out on the track. This car will make its first public appearance in Ibiza on September 27th.
According to the latest news from Electrek, this Tesla P85+ has been chosen to perform on rear wheel drive for this platform. While all other Tesla cars offer all-wheel drive format.
The race ready cars that are taking part in competition have been stripped down from inside but the terrains of these cars are same as original.
The suspension of these cars have been beefed up and their steering has been modified according to the track as well. The brake cooling system and engine cooling system have been improved so that the cars are able to cool down easily.
The videos of Electric GT reveal that the Tesla Model S has been modified in order to be like a race car. An internal roll cage with a few body changes can be seen easily as well.
