It seems like iPhone users are pretty gullible. They've been tricked into microwaving their phones in order to charge them, dropping their phones into water after the update made them waterproof, and now, a video has convinced them to take a drill to their brand new phone in order to get a headphone jack.

The video started after a video created by YouTuber Taras Maksiumuk (TechRax) went viral. In many of his videos, TechRax destroys technology - but it looks like those who saw the video didn't do any research on his credentials.

The video he posted shows Taras drilling a 3.5mm hole into the bottom left edge of the iPhone 7, exactly where the headphone jack used to be. After completing the drill, you can see him plugging headphones into the iPhone 7 which is now able to play music through traditional earbuds.

As of now, the prank has been watched over 11 million times, and as you would expect, the comments section is absolutely filled with people who have destroyed their phones. The video actually has more likes than dislikes, so the trolls are out and on full display. It isn't clear how many people actually tortured their brand new phones, but some people actually did.

Remember not to take everything you see on the internet at face value. You don't want to destroy something you just paid a lot of money for because you didn't use your common sense.
