A video surfaces showing a guy smashing several iPhones in a French Apple Store.

How many iPhones can you smash in an Apple Store before security stops you? Turns out a lot. On Thursday a man walks into a French Apple Store in the city of Dijon and starts smashing iPhones with a steel ball. He calmly walks from one table to the next putting the iPhones flat and smashing the screen with the steel ball.

The guy keeps smashing for at least 30 seconds and then addressed the shoppers in the store telling them about that he did not get his money back from Apple. Then he continues to smash iPhones again. Until finally, when he was about to leave the store, a security guy turns up. Mall security was able to hand the guy over to police according to multiple French media reports.

Apple needs to reevaluate its security measures for its stores. It seems nobody from the store employees tried to stop the iPhone smasher. It is not clear if employees alarmed mall security or if they showed up because of the commotion. In the end, the Apple customer had way to much time to unleash his anger on iPhones and a MacBook.

The damage the angry French man caused is at least around 10,000 Euro. Apple has not yet commented on the incident.
