She is known for putting up great interactive shows and concerts and that is perhaps why Taylor Swift was AT&T’s choice to headline their sponsored Pre Super Bowl show.
The show will be taking place in Houston, Texas where Taylor has been confirmed to perform on Feb. 4, 2017. Taylor will perform in a custom 64,000-square-foot venue specifically made for her performance the day before Super Bowl LI will be held in the city’s NRG Stadium.
The star was excited about her new partnership with AT&T as she tweeted a picture of a football jersey with her lucky number 13 on it and she captioned the photo, "Thanks @ATT, This is gonna be fun."
The company is also thrilled to be partnering with Taylor. AT&T CEO John Stankey said in a statement released Tuesday that they are thrilled to reach a deal to bring Taylor and her unique talents to her fans and their customers in new and exclusive ways.
They’re excited to get event tickets into the hands of Taylor's fans and exclusive content from the event to their customers and celebrate the combination of one of the world's biggest artists with one of the world's biggest sporting events.
“We’re thrilled to reach a deal to bring Taylor and her unique talents to her fans and our customers in new and exclusive ways,” said John Stankey, CEO, AT&T Entertainment Group.
“And we’ve thrilled attendees during the Big Game weekend for the last 11 years with A-list parties and the hottest performing music artists around, so 2017 will be our very best. In addition to that AT&T and Swift will be participating in a variety of events together, including the singer headlining the AT&T DirecTV Super Saturday Night.
Lady Gaga has been confirmed to perform at the famed Halftime Show of Super Bowl. Taylor has been trying to land that gig but her sponsorship with Diet Coke refrains her from signing up on the Halftime show which is sponsored by competitor Pepsi.
For now she will have to do with the Pre Super Bowl show. Many fans are reckoning that Taylor will be dropping some new music at the event which will create a bigger demand to be at that concert.
