J.K. Rowling Confirms Five Movies for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

J.K. Rowling confirmed that the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them franchise will have five sequels.

In a fantastic turn of events at a global promotion event of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Harry Potter author, J.K. Rowling who also penned the screenplay for Fantastic Beasts appeared to reveal that the franchise will have five movies.

Thrilling Harry Potter fans all over the world, the author confirmed that there will be four more upcoming movies after the first part which is due to release on 18th November 2016.

The promotional event which was taking place in London hosted the cast Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, Dan Fogler, Colin Farrell and Jon Voight were also participating from L.A. with director David Yates and producer David Heyman.

The author made a surprise appearance to make the announcement. She revealed that the previous news about the franchise having three parts was a placeholder while she had been in the process of writing.

As of now, she had figured out the plot of the story which spanned across five parts. She said that now she knew how the story will play out, the three parts will stretch into five. Warner Bros. will be producing all five of the movies. Fantastic Beasts’ official Twitter feed also confirmed the news.

The star cast was also surprised by the news of the five part franchise. Rowling had said on previous occasion that she had shared the details of the second part with the cast although she should not have.

She said that they knew more about the next part then they let on. The news of five parts of the movie still surprised them.

The event also revealed the new poster for fans featuring the characters of the movie. The movie is due to release on November 18th, much to the anticipation of the Harry Potter fandom.
