The city of Buffalo in New York State is the first city to be home of level 40 players of each team.

Buffalo, NY is the first city, possibly world-wide, that is home to Pokemon Go level 40 trainers of team Valor, Mystic or Instinct. Obviously the first level 40 player JimmEpitts is part of the trio. He is team Instinct. Joining him is LandonSworts team Valor and ChrisGioia85 team Mystic.

All three started to play Pokemon Go in the first three days of the launch of Pokemon Go in the United States. The question why they all roll with a female avatar is unanswered. While these guys seem to have not lost interest in Pokemon Go, a lot of players did. Many trainers left the game in the past week because now real-time Pokemon Go tracker is working. FastPokeMap failed to relaunch on the weekend and there is no new launch date yet.

Jimmie Pitts reached Level 40 as first trainer in Pokemon Go in the world. He spent around $700 for in-app purchases to get there. For the most part he was just focused on grinding as much XP each day for three months to level up as quickly as possibly. Niantic apparently did not foresee anyone reaching level 40 by legit gameplay. Jimmie Pitts and other level 40 players reported technical issues accessing gyms after reaching the level.

There are only about six Pokemon Go players known in the world that have reached level 40. Buffalo definitely stands out as Pokemon Go hotspot. The announcement of the three level 40 players in Buffalo has been made on reddit.

Buffalo is also in the news today for another reason. Tesla and Panasonic plan to build photovoltaic plant in Buffalo.
