Rockstar is teasing what looks like a new Red Dead game.

Update: Red Dead Redemption 2 is official.

Reddit is out of control over Rockstar Games teasers since yesterday. The game maker has started to tease what looks like a new Red Dead Game. On Sunday Rockstar Games tweeted a red graphic with the Rockstar logo in the center. This Tweet already drove reddit crazy and the post was on top of the reddit homepage.

Today Rockstar game followed up with another teaser that has now over 10,600 up-votes on reddit. It is it the color red, like you know in red-dit? 10k up-voted posts are not that common on reddit. There is maybe one every couple weeks. The Red Dead Redemption game was popular in 2010, but also not like crazy popular. Red Dead Redemption was an open world, western action-adventure video game for the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles. Red Dead Redemption shipped over 14 million copies.

The new teaser shows seven cowboys on the horizon. Seven cowboys immediately triggers the connection to the classic Western "Magnificent Seven." Will the new Red Dead game be about hired guns saving town?

Redditors are not even sure if the teasers are for a new Red Dead game. It could also be something new for GTA.

For some reason Rockstar Games hit a nerve with video game fans on reddit with the red teasers. Given the hype, the marketers at Rockstar Games will take their time stringing fans along to the big reveal, whatever it is. Join the discussion about the new Red Dead teaser on reddit.
