If any of you have been experiencing some problems with battery drainage on your iPod, iPad, iPhone or any device, below are some tips to fix the battery drainage issue.

Identify battery draining Apps

Battery drainage is often linked to apps. There are many chances that you a have loads of apps installed on your device. Most of the apps will be stock apps and the rest probably downloaded from the official Apple store., Just go to your Settings app icon and click on ‘Battery’ to actually identify the apps which are making most use of your battery. It is most likely Facebook and Pokemon Go are the culprits. However, once you know the apps responsible for sucking on your batter you can cut down its usage or even look their replacement.

Toggling iCloud Keychain

This is a rather straightforward method. If you wish to prevent your device from continuously polling apps for present convent you can simple turn it off completely. You may also limit the app that allows access to such network functionality. Click on ‘Settings’ and then on ‘General Background App Refresh’.

Location Services

Location services are pretty interesting and great to use but they can actually become a nuisance if they are enabled for apps you don’t even know about. You can manage this by going to Settings. Click on Privacy and then location services and you will be able to identify the apps which have an access to your device’s location. You may toggle or disable the option for every individual app you want to manage.

Old Method Hard Reboot

It is actually true sometimes your device just needs a good old-fashioned hard reboot so that it starts to function to its optimum once again.

Screen Brightness

Do you think your display brightness is actually more than it should really be? Is it possible that you are wasting you battery on maximum brightness when 30-percent would do fine? If iOS is managing your brightness for you then turn it off and adjust the brightness level manually. This will surely make a difference. You can go to Settings. Click on Display and brightness and switch off the Auto brightness option

Use Low power mode

iOS users can benefit from the ‘Low power Mode’. Its basic design includes limiting things such as network connectivity and also shutting down any other features which are high power consuming and certainly not critical for the system functioning. If you are using this mode you may be required to fetch email yourself and so on but this is actually better than running low on battery. Just go to Settings for opting for this mode.

Switch Off Raise To Wake

This is a new feature introduced by Apple which brings the iPhone display to life once it has detected to be moved from its rest flat position in to a position where it may be under use. Turning this feature may actually add to some percentage points. You can manage this in display and brightness in the Settings.

Reset All Settings

Now this isn’t the ideal solution but is a solution which has proved to solve the problem previously. This will reset all the settings present on the device but user data will be intact. Click on Settings and Reset all Settings under the ‘General’ option.

Clean-install iOS 10

This is actually one of the most time consuming and difficult method of controlling battery drainage. If you happen to have a defective or problematic iOS 10 version installed on your device then this option will be a good solution for you instead of an over-the-air-update.

Use Night Shift

This is not a guaranteed solution for your battery problems but some people have reported success with the Night shift. Enable this under Settings app icon, click on Display and Brightness and then enable Night shift.

Booking A Genius Bar Appointment

If you have given up altogether than maybe it’s high time to take your device to an Apple store. A genius bar appointment will allow an expert to tackle your problem. The Apple representatives will run diagnostics and will see if any hardware defects are present.
