Film maker Micheal Moore surprised with movie about Donald Trump.

Michael Moore is back with a vengeance. The filmmaker just released Micheal Moore TrumpLand in a cinema in New York. The lines to the sneak preview of the new Michael Moore was going around the block.

The movie opens on October 19 regular in the IFC center Cinema in New York. TrumpLand will also be shown for one week in the Los Angeles' Laemmle Town Center 5 in Encino. It is not clear yet how Michael Moore plans to further release Trumpland after the initial one week runs in those two cities.

In TrumpLand Oscar-winner Michael Moore dives right into hostile territory with his daring and hilarious one-man show, deep in the heart of TrumpLand (Ohio) in the weeks before the 2016 election.

The live performance film was a risky undertaking. The 73 minute long movie shows Moore speaking about the two presidential candidates on a stage in Wilmington, Ohio. He is talking about what would happen if each were to become the next U.S. president. The film was just shot less than two weeks ago. Trump received four times as many votes as Clinton did in the primary elections in this area in Ohio.

"The shitshow isn't over," said the filmmaker at the sneak preview according to THR. "It appeals to the darker instinct of a country that has made some mistakes, whether it’s voting for Reagan or Nixon or Bush or the professional wrestler in Minnesota."

The documentary is an adaption of Michael Moore's one-man play. He planned to perform it at a Ohio theater and record for nationwide release just weeks before the election, but that did not work out.

The timing of the release of the TrumpLand documentary is well chosen. Trump is behind ahead of the final TV presidential debate taking place tonight.
