Maserati Alfieri Sports Car Delayed Until 2020

Maserati Alfieri will be launched after the launch of Granturismo and Grancabrio.

The launching dates for Maserati Granturismo and Grancabrio have been swapped with the two seat sports car Maserati Alfieri. This means that Maserati Alfieri will be released later than the other two.

The Maserati Alfieri which was supposed to launch at the end of 2019 has been pushed to 2020-2021. While the Granturismo and Grancabrio will be launched in 2018-2019. 

The Maserati Alfieri was first unveiled as a concept car in the year 2014 at Geneva. It was expected at that time that it will be launched in the year 2016. Whereas at that time the exact launch time of Granturismo was not known by anyone. 

The general manager of Maserati Europe, Giulio Pastore has told that Granturismo and Grancabrio are the vital components of Maserati line up. This might be the reason that these cars are being given priority over Maserati Alfieri. 

According to AutoCar, he said that Granturismo and Grancabrio are a vital part of Maserati’s history of cars. This is the reason that they won’t be dropped.

They will be replaced and then the Alfieri will be replaced as well. He also said that these two were beautiful 2+2 GT cars and were liked by many customers all over the world.

The Levante SUV by the company tool almost 22 months after it received the green light by the company to go in production. So we can see some delays too however nothing is sure about the situation as the company is hoping and have actually announced the 2020 year for the release of Alfieri.

Other cars such as Alfa Romeo Stelvio and Ghibli are also two significant cars that are being launched in the coming few months too.
