The company is going to build 14 new models that will run on alternate fuel

Kia is planning to launch a rigorous and pretty major campaign to introduce alternate fuel technology in the coming four years. This is the reason they are planning to launch 14 new models in the next four to five years that will run on alternate fuels. The current times certainly call for modules that can work on alternate fuel that can conserve the petroleum reservoirs of world. 

The announcement of 14 new models to be introduced in the next few years was announced by Kia’s European boss Michael Cole. According to him till 2020, the company will have the facility to offer 14 new alternative fuel model all across the globe. These vehicles will include EVs, Hybrids and fuel cell model cars too. 

A hybrid version of Optima estate is due soon by the company. The company will also be offering a plug in version of Niro. This new Niro will join the recently launched of Niro Hybrid, hybrid Optima Saloon and Soul EV.

Cole believes that hybrids are widely accepted form of terrain these days and he also added that Kia is off to introduce fuel cell technology in 2020, according to AutoCar.

Cole also announced that Kia is working on a small cross over which will be introduced shortly. This crossover is supposed to rival the Nissan Juke.

Juke was revealed in year 2014. He said that this is an area where they have already got an experience in the form of Sportage and Sorento SUV. Thus introducing a cross over will be an easy task. 

The company is also working on the sports model 2011 GT concept. With this venture the company will actively go for sports car technology.
