Diesel believes that Fast 8 is going to grab a few Oscars this time.

A report by Moviefone reports have stated that Vin Diesel thinks that there might be greater chances for Fast 8 to win some Oscars. He thinks that the new installment of the franchise Fast and Furious might get its hands on its first ever Oscar. Well, strange things can happen when it comes to Oscar world.

This might be the case with Fast 8 as well. If the movies impresses the critics and also wins the hearts of Oscar Jury and voters then we can certainly see an Oscar for it.

However the previous versions were pretty popular among the audience but they certainly lacked the major ingredients that are needed for an Oscar worthy movie in most of the domains.

The Fast franchise is based on entertainment purpose only most of the time and the Academy winner movies certainly have more in-depth stories.

It is also reported that Diesel told Entertainment Tonight that this installment has gotten a more serious story line with the inclusion of people like F. Gary Gray.

Thus there are good chances for the movie to get attention from voters in the case of Academy Awards. Gray is a pretty famous and worthy filmmaker. Diesel believes that he has the ability to do a lot and has put a lot of confidence in him.

Three might be no Oscar for Fast 8 in main categories such as Best Movie, Best Actor or Story but there are plenty of other Oscars to look forward too. There are domains such as Sound, Music, Background Score, Action, Visual Effects and many more.

Thus if Fast 8 has a good direction and everything goes right then this installment of the franchise might actually become successful to bag an Oscar.
