Ford CEO to Deliver Speech at CES 2017 on Ford Smart Mobility

Mark Fields will give a speech at the annual Leaders in Technology (LIT) Dinner.

CES 2017 announced that the CEO of Ford Motors will be joining them to deliver a special speech. Mark Fields the president and CEO of Ford Motors will give a speech at the event in Las Vegas. The speech is scheduled for the CES annual Leaders in Technology (LIT) Dinner.

The speech by Ford comes at a time when the company seems to be moving forward by expanding their business. Ford aims to add both auto and mobility to its business model. It is a bid to strengthen its core business.

The aim initiative for this purpose is the Ford Smart Mobility. The Ford Smart Mobility is the automakers plan to lead them towards better connectivity, mobility, and even autonomous vehicles.

Ford intends to produce a road ready self-driving car by 2021. The autonomous Ford car will be a high-volume SAE level 4 vehicle which will make Ford a leader in commercial operations. 

Gary Shapiro the president and CEO of CES stated Ford has always helped shape the next level of car with its self-driving research and development. Shapiro also praised Fields for continuing Ford’s tradition of keeping up with leading innovation.

Ford not only makes futuristic cars but makes people’s lives better with it. Ford’s aim is to bring mobility into a new era which will reduce the number of accidents by drastic degrees. 

Other than the speech Ford will also show an exhibit in the CES 2017 in the Vehicle Technology Category. Interestingly enough one of the latest category in this lineup is the Autonomous Vehicles Marketplace. This category will be all about new developments in autonomous cars, including their driving experience and safety measures. 

Owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)™, CES will run January 5-8, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
