Logan First Trailer: What is in It?
  • Logan Trailer Gives Fans Hope for the Best

The official trailer for Logan released to the excitement of the X Men fans.

When Hugh Jackman introduced us to the new poster of Logan a few weeks ago, many people were speculating what the movie will be about.

Having recently watched Logan in his post-experimental stage in X-Men Apocalypse and his last movie leading him away from Japan, fans wondered what the plot of the new movie will hold, especially with it’s title changed to Logan.

They got their first glimpse into the new movie when 20th Century Fox and Marvel released the first trailer for the movie. Set to Johnny Cash’s Hurt, the trailer starts with a trembling, bloodied hand of Logan and we hear an older voice ask him, what did he do?

In a distant shot, we see him sitting on a cement post with a fallen and rusted water tanker in the back and we hear Logan saying to Charles that the world is not the same as it was.

In a one surprising shot, we see Logan, much older with a greying beard, bloodshot eyes and wrinkled brow looking in the distance. We find out from Logan that the Mutants are gone now in the world they are in.

He is seen standing in a graveyard, drinking from a flask. In the next shot, we see his bloodied hands once more, perched on a sink as he looks himself in the mirror. There are scars of injuries on his back.

He puts on a shirt with a shaky hand and the scenes fades to a big enclosure in which Charles Xavier, also older is lying on a stretcher. Logan is seen going to the fallen tanker and we believe that that is where these two remaining mutants are residing.

We see a young girl’s back sitting at a table. Logan asks Charles what she is. Charles tells him that she is like him. We see young Doris Morgado playing Maria looking at Logan as he looks at her and Charles emphasizes that she is very much like him.

The scene shows jeeps approaching as a masked figure looks out. We believe it might be Caliban. Charles tells Logan that the girl needs their help as they both sit in a car. Charles says that someone has come along as in an eerie scene Logan looks at his dog tags.

With a change in pace, we see black ops entering the scene and Logan avoiding a crash with a truck while being chased. Charles looks in discomfort. Boyd Holbrook who’s playing Donald Pierce is seen putting on specs.

In next seen he looks after a helicopter as it approaches. Young Maris is seen struggling out of a spot, gunmen approaching Charles, Logan carrying a woman, Logan, Charles and Maria sharing a smile as they are seated around a table, a car parked in the middle of nowhere, Maria looking at an asleep Logan in her lap, someone running up the stairs, soldiers trying to cough a struggling Maria, Pierce and Logan exchanging hostile looks, Maria trying to get out of her restrains.

The blades finally come out and we see Logan in action mode through various scenes. Maria showing off her fighting skills, a few other fight scenes and at the end, Maria coming to hold Logan’s hand.

The iconic hand hold captured in the poster for the movie. The camera pans up and we see that Logan is bloodied and hurt and Maria is wearing glasses like Scott Summers’ and we hear Charles voce over saying Logan, you still have time. Maria and Logan look at each other.

The fans have expressed their excitement and are absolutely blown away by the trailer. It is emotional, gritty and action filled and leaves the fans wanting more. Many reckon that it will be different and the best of all X Men movies. We will have to wait till March 3rd, 2017 to find out.
