Record Store Black Friday 2016 Features Bob Dylan, Run-D.M.C., Jimi Hendrix, Alice In Chains, My Little Pony and South Park

Vinyl fans get new rare releases this Black Friday at the traditional Record Store day.

When Record Store Black Friday started nine years ago, vinyl was not as hip as it is today. Vinyl is back in a big way despite the digitalization of music consumption. Legacy Recordings, the catalog division of Sony Music Entertainment, announced the label's line-up of vinyl releases created especially for Record Store Day's Black Friday 2016, celebrated this year at the nation's independent record stores on Friday, November 25, 2016.

The vinyl releases for Record Store Black Friday 2016 include works from artists including Nobel Prize winner Bob Dylan, Run-D.M.C., Jimi Hendrix, Alice In Chains, My Little Pony and South Park.

Dylan has still not answered the calls of the Nobel Prize committee. If he does not accept the Nobel Prize in Literature within a set time frame of several months, he will lose out on a $1 million prize money. Bob Dylan is likely more honored to be featured in Record Store Black Friday.

Fans will be able to pick up the Bob Dylan's performance at the Royal Albert Hall from May 26, 1966 (two days after the artist's 25 birthday). The concert is being released as a 2LP album entitled The Real Royal Albert Hall 1966 Concert. For decades, Dylan's performance in Manchester was incorrectly labeled "The Royal Albert Hall Concert." Now, for the first time, the REAL Royal Albert Hall concert--originally recorded for a live album by CBS Records--is finally being released, mixed by Grammy-winning engineer Chris Shaw.

Update: Many more labels have announced new records for Record Store Black Friday 2016. New exclusive vinyl releases will be available from Jack White, Prince Erykah Badu, and Rolling Stones.
