Will the Apple Black Friday sale make a comeback in 2016? The Apple Stores and the online Apple Store did not offer any Black Friday deals and also no Cyber Monday deals last year.

Apple canceled Black Friday last year. The motion was similar to that of REI. Apple wanted to give their employees off for the Thanksgiving weekend. REI has announced to skip Black Friday again this year.

Update Nov. 22: Apple teases Apple Store Black Friday 2016 Sale. Apple is coming back to Black Friday.

Apple did not announce to cancel Black Friday. There was just no Apple Black Friday sale in stores and not online last year. In the years before Apple has offered 24 hour Black Friday sales events with modest discounts that have been popular. Two years ago, Apple turned Black Friday and Cyber Monday into a charity event. Apple donated a portion of the sales the company made on the Apple Store Black Friday and Apple Store Cyber Monday sale to the Global Fund to fight AIDS.

Apple can afford to not offer Black Friday deals. Consumers are used to pay full price. Without the Apple Black Friday sale, there are no discounts from Apple all year round. Only Apple's retail partners including Best Buy offer discounts and have offered Black Friday deals on Apple products in the past.

The Cupertino consumer electronics giant can keep its hands clean and have Best Buy and others do the selling on Black Friday.

Deals on Apple products including iPhone 7, Apple Watch, iPad, MacBook Pro and MacBook will be highly thought after during Black Friday 2016. The best Black Friday deals on Apple products last year included $150 off iPad Air 2, $100 off Apple Watch, iPhone 6S with $250 gift card, $779 MacBook Air and $899.99 MacBook Pro. The Apple TV was 25% off.

Apple will unveil a new MacBook Pro this week on October 27. The new MacBook Pro will bring some movement into the MacBook Pro line and enable retailers to offer discounts on older MacBook Pro models. The event is rumored to also produce a new MacBook.
