Mercedes-AMG Officially Reveals 2017 E 63 and E 63 S
  • The New Mercedes AMG E Class car is the most Powerful E Class Merc ever being made

The new Mercedes-AMG E 63 4MATIC+ and E 63 S 4MATIC+ are officially revealed by company.

The Mercedes AMG is all set to put forward some of its finest works in a few years in the form of new AMG E Class cars. The company has redefined a performance saloon for sure. The company has finally made E 63 4MATIC+ and E 63 S 4MATIC+ which are said to be the most powerful and modernized AMG cars created ever. These cars are so different from the previous models because of the innovative technology used in them.

The cars are supposed to offer superior acceleration with the help of a 4.0 liter twin turbo V8 engine which will generate up to 612 bhp. This 612 bhp pumping engine is the most powerful engine ever presented by Mercedes in AMG series E class. Another innovative thing associated with this engine is that it is much more efficient than ever due to the cylinder deactivation system which is being fitted in the car as a standard.

The car has the ability to accelerate 0-100km/h in 3.4 seconds. The car is given the AMG SPEDSHIFT MCT nine-speed sports transmission. This transmission is combined with a wet start-off clutch for the first time in the history of E class cars.

Another very important thing is that E 63 4MATIC+ and E 63 S 4MATIC+ are both given 4MATIC+ which is a four-wheel drive system. This will give an advantage in the drive system. The torque distribution has been changed as well. It was fully rear based in the earlier models but now they will be variable for the first time ever.

According to the company these cars will provide the absolute pleasure of drive and power which will be a life time experience.

"The new E 63 models represent the biggest step forward we've ever taken from one generation to the next. Vehicle dynamics were especially important to us. At the start of the development process, we opted for a fully variable all-wheel drive system which, when combined with the advanced performance of the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, reaffirms our brand's "Driving Performance" claim," explains Tobias Moers, Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-AMG GmbH.

Both new models will male their world première as Edition 1 on 16 November 2016 as part of the Los Angeles Auto Show. The sales release follows on 16 January 2017, with market launch beginning in March 2017.
