  • Bermuda triangle mystery was NOT solved by a documentary

Scientists claim they’re words were misinterpreted in the Science Channel series ‘What on Earth?’

The mystery of why ships disappear in the Bermuda triangle is still very much a mystery. Previously in October a US documentary show called ‘What on Earth?’aired on the Science Channel.

One of the episodes tried to explain the mystery behind Bermuda triangle. As to why ships keep on sinking in the Bermuda triangle. The commentary was done by the climatologist Randall Cerveny from the Arizona State University.

Cerveny tried to explain the Bermuda Triangle mystery suggesting the Hexagonal clouds in the region may be responsible for the disappearance of ships.

Cerveny stated the hexagonal shapes over the ocean are basically like air bombs in essence. The episode went on to become one the month’s most shared news story. The story under the name of “Bermuda Mystery solved!” was shared tens of thousands of times on Facebook.

While Cerveny did not specifically say the hexagonal clouds are responsible for the disappearance of ships. Another back commenter on the episode stated the air bomb solves the Bermuda Triangle riddle.

However the suggestion that air bombs are behind every ships’ demise in the Bermuda triangle is just a ‘Theory’. There is no evidence or basis behind the theory and is just a supposition with no backing at all.

Even one of the experts cited on the “hexagonal clouds” segment in the show has slammed the channel for misrepresenting the scientists and promoting false assumptions.

According to Steven Miller, a Colorado State University research scientist, there is no mystery behind the cloud pattern at all.

In an email to the National Post, Miller also criticized the show for sensationalizing a seemingly baseless story. Miller also stated there is little to no chance of these clouds being the answer to the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle.
