CES 2017: 25 French Companies Selected as CES Innovation Honorees
  • Over 25 French companies have been proclaimed as CES Innovation Honorees

CTA announced the companies today at the CES Unveiled Paris to celebrate the ingenuity of French innovation

According to the CTA (Consumer Technology Association) the French are the best when it comes to innovation. The sentiment was expressed today at the 4th annual CES Unveiled Paris show. CTA, the producer of the upcoming CES 2017 event announced the names of 25 French companies as their CES Innovation Honorees.

A number of media members, tech analysts and top industry personalities were present at the event when the honorees were announced. Moreover the company Xooloo was singled out as the winner of the Best of Innovation designation, which is considered to be quite a prestigious award in the circles of CES.

The announcement is now surprise since the French influence at CES has grown substantially over the years. In 2016 alone, more than 210 French innovation companies came to attend the CES event platform. Already more than 219 companies have registered to attend the upcoming CES event which will take place between the 5th to the 8th of January, 2017.

Why is this announcement of particular importance? It is particularly noteworthy as the honorees will take part in the coveted CES Innovation Awards program. The annual competition is a way to rejoice about outstanding design and engineering technology products.

In the competition there are two levels of honorees across a range of 28 products. The tech products which receive the Best of Innovation label are considered to be the very best of products within each category. These products are the highest-rated and also featured in the Innovation Awards Showcase.

According to Gary Shapiro the President and CEO of CTA, this year they have received a record number of Innovation Awards entries from France alone. This shows France’s commitment to innovative technology.

“We received a record number of Innovation Awards entries this year in total, and a record from France alone, demonstrating the country’s continued commitment to technology innovation,” said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, Consumer Technology Association.

“In addition to our two Best of Innovation Honorees from France, 46 French products were named as Innovation Awards Honorees. These ground-breaking products will help fuel the consumer tech industry, improve lives and better the world.”

A list of all CES 2017 Innovation Awards Honorees from France can be found online. Remaining honorees will be announced at CES Unveiled New York on November 10.
