The new 2017 Vauxhall Insignia Grand Sport will be released in various countries making it a car for all the world.

The next generation hatch-back car model by Vauxhall has been given the name Vauxhall Insignia Grand Sport. The car is supposed to hit the roads next year.

The hatchback will join a fleet of cars that will include an estate version called the new Insignia Sport Tourer and might be a more rugged model that can be named Country Tourer.

A few days back the spy shots of Insignia Grand Sport, being tested for development were posted on AutoCar. The early pictures of the heavily camouflaged test vehicle showed that it might get an extra eager chassis. However the car won’t be unveiled before December this year.

The company is opting for the new Insignia range to be lighter and larger than the current models. These cars will be more efficient than the current ones.

The biggest change that is being made in these models is the elongation of wheelbase and a decrease in the overall weight of car by almost 150 kilograms.

The next Insignia introduced is going to be global car and will be sold under various brands such as Vauxhall, Opel and Buick. It will sold in Europe, America and China. In Britain it is supposed to be a key rival to the Ford Mondeo.

The new insignia is supposed to get an innovative look but the overall theme of car will resemble the older models. The spied development model pictures showed that it has been given a bigger and wider roof as compared to older models.

Insignia will be offered in 1.6 liter CDTi diesel engine which is going to take the place of currently used 2.0 CDTi unit. The engine will have the capacity to provide an output around 170bhp. The Insignia will be offered in 1.6 SIDI turbocharged petrol engine too.
