The Apple Event takes place today at the Apple Campus.

The Apple Event today is taking place at the Apple Campus. Apple CEO Tim Cook is looking forward to an exciting day on campus. He shared a photo shaking hands with Apple employees ahead of the Apple Event.

It remains to be seen if the Apple MacBook event is going to be exciting. Microsoft set the bar very high yesterday. Apple will have a hard time to be impressive today as outlined in our earlier report. After yesterday's Microsoft event it is time again for "Can’t innovate anymore, my ass." Phil Schiller made that legendary comment after introducing the tube shaped Mac Pro.

The expected product premieres include a new MacBook and a new MacBook Pro. That is a very thin program. The rumor mill says that new iMac and the elusive 5K display will be launched not this year. There is also no talk about new iPads or Apple TVs. Hopes are hight Apple has more up there sleeves today. Find below the highlights of the Apple October 27 event as they happen.

That was it. Apple only unveiled the new MacBook Pro and the TV app.

The new MacBook Pro is smaller, thinner and has the rumored Retina display multi touch function key display called Touch Bar.

Tim Cook points out that its the 25th anniversary of the first Apple laptop - the Powerbook. 

Apple unveils the TV app to access all your movies and shows from all your individual apps.

10:10am: Apple Event starts really slow. Not sure if it will gain any steam. This is bad. Tim Cook is showing photos taking with iPhone 7 by costumers. What is that?

Apple starts the event the same way as Microsoft. The show how Apple products enable disabled people. Next time Apple needs to find a date before Microsoft's event. Microsoft's solutions also appeared to be more efficient.
