This morning, Raven-Symone announced that she was going to be leaving "The View" by the end of 2016. However, she is going to stay in the family. Instead of staying on the ABC daytime talk show, she will be headed to the Disney Channel to develop a spinoff of "That's So Raven."

Raven won't be able to stay on the show because she will have to move to Los Angeles to film and produce the show, where she will reprise her role as psychic Raven Baxter. The show originally ran from 2003 to 2007.

It was obvious to fans of "The View" that Raven was being phased out, as she only appeared once a week. Still, she was one of the younger voices on the show, so it might be somewhat shocking. There are already quite a few hosts rotating throughout the panel, so it is unlikely that we will see replacements. In fact, many people believe that ABC has been looking for ways to cut down the panel which also includes Joy Behar, Candace Cameron Bure, Paula Faris, Sara Haines, Bila, Hostin and moderator Whoopi Goldberg.

The spinoff will see Raven Baxter as a divorced mom of two preteens, and one of them has her ability to see the future, according to Variety.

"That's So Raven" was a huge success for Disney, ranking top amongst kids, and it still is a huge success. Reruns show ratings with over 1 million viewers.

“Raven’s brilliant style of fearless comedy was a driving force for Disney Channel’s success around the world. Her performance in ‘That’s So Raven’ is timeless. We now have our eyes on the future with her, and we’re looking forward to telling more stories for a new generation with an adult Raven Baxter raising her young family,” said Adam Bonnett, exec VP of original programming for Disney Channels Worldwide.
