Apple Still Selling 2015 MacBook Pro And 13-Inch MacBook Air, but 11-Inch Air Discontinued

We were shocked to see such a price hike for the new MacBook Pro but Apple has a remedy....

This morning Apple told us about its new and improved MacBook Pro notebooks. Those who wish to pick the cheapest Apple notebook won’t have to spend a fortune on a 2016 model. Apple has decided to keep the 2015 13-inch and 15 MacBook Pro.

The 2016 13-inch MacBook Air also stays. Sadly, we will not see the 11-inch MacBook Air anymore. Apple is keen to push its fan towards the 12 inch MacBook instead. You can order the 2015 13-inch or 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro from the official website of Apple.

The notebooks cost $1299 and $1999 respectively. These are the exact same prices they were retailing earlier. The 13-inch MacBook Air was refreshed earlier this year and it also goes around with the same $99 price before today’s announcements were made.

This makes it $500 cheaper than the cheapest new MacBook Pro. The Apple notebook line up is now very MacBook Pro-heavy. We may see the 13-inchMacBook Air to be out sooner or later. For now, it is very reasonable and provides value proposition for those who wish to have a thin and light machine but do not want to spend on the new MacBook Pro.

Anyone who wishes to have a MacBook Pro again but is hesitant on spending money which the newly announced Macs demand can choose last year’s model safely without any apprehension. The machine though will come with hardware function keys.

It will also not have a fancy Touch Bar but then again even the cheapest 2016 MacBook Pro is in the same boat. If you wish to have the new touch based buttons you will need serious money to get your hands on the higher end models.

The new Touch Bar-sporting MacBook Pro models start at $1799 and go up till $2799.
