FastPokeMap shut down three days ago. Today the real-time Pokemon scanner is back finding you Pokemon again. Niantic has still not ended the Halloween event. There are still more Pokemon spawning than usual.

FastPokeMap managed to resolve the issues that triggered the shutdown on the weekend. The tracker is in beta right now. I have done some scans and it works very well so far.

He announced to end the development on FastPokeMap on reddit, releasing the latest source codes to the community. This time it the end of FastPokeMap is for good. The developer community will continue to build 3rd party apps, but the time of large scale scanning services such as FastPokeMap is over.

The PidgeyFinder will be released as web, iOS and Android app soon with new enhancements including suggesting the best route to grind Poke Stops and push notifications.

We have also seen the first Pokemon Go bot service to be back online. This means botters are back in the game. The new generation of 3rd party apps got enabled by the release of the source code of how to connect again to Niantic's servers after the October 7 security update.

The fight between Niantic and 3rd party developers is going in the next round. The ball is now in Niantic's court again to up the security of Pokemon Go. With the Halloween event, Niantic scored a lot of praise from trainers.
