The first exclusive shots of the characters of the live action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast have been released by Entertainment Weekly.

Disney fans and fans of the classic tale of a local French girl falling in love with the prince turned Beast, good news is here. The first exclusive pictures of the live action adaptation of the Disney classic Beauty and the Beast were recently released by Entertainment Weekly giving all of us our first look at our beloved characters.

The first shot is of Emma Watson as Belle in the iconic yellow ball gown. Emma’s sleek and thin figure looks amazing in the layered ruffled yellow dress in full flow as she gives the camera a side pose holding out the dress with one hand.

In the next picture, we get our first look at Dan Stevens as the Beast in one of the library scenes. The Beast is holding out an open book in his hand while he and Belle look at its content. Dan’s Beast is dressed in gray brocade coat while Emma’s Belle is dressed in her iconic blue dress with a white blouse and blue headwear.

In the next picture, we see Emma’s Belle sharing a look with Kevin Kline who plays Belle’s father Maurice. Complete with the beard and the crazy hair, Maurice is looking at Belle while she smiles down at him.

The next picture is of Emma as Belle standing in front of an ornate, circular window and looking sad. We can only guess that this might be the scene in which Belle realizes that she is imprisoned in the castle. Wondering about Gaston?

Wonder no more because the next picture in the catalogue is of Evan Peters as Gaston and Josh Gad as Le Fou. Both men are riding horses as Gaston seems to be explaining something.

He is dressed in a red lined beige coat and wearing a black hat. In the next picture, we see Gaston in his iconic red garb holding out his sword and standing over the bar as the crowd around him cheers him on.

The next picture is giving us the feels as we marvel on the latest CGI technology for Cogsworth voiced by Ian McKellen, Mrs. Potts voiced by Emma Thompson, Lumière voiced by Ewan McGregor, and Plumette voiced by Gugu Mbatha-Raw. The four human turned castle objects character played a major role in the love story of our two main protagonists.

The next picture is a behind the scenes shot in which Emma is perched on a ladder on the library set while Director/Co-Screenwriter Bill Condon seems to be giving her instructions.

The last picture is the cover of the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly. The cover features Beauty and the Beast in the ballroom dance pose which has graced the animated version cover for so long.
