The standup comedic actress has been selected to bridge the gap present between technology and media

Aisha Tyler has been selected as the brand ambassador for CES 2017. The versatile actress who also boasts being a director, author and comedian to her credit is the official pick by the CTA. According to CTA, Aisha will be instrumental in bridging the gap between technology and media at CES events.

CTA also stated Aisha for them is synonymous to the term multi-hyphenate as she has worked simultaneously in multiple media formats. For those of you not familiar with Aisha she is the host of CBS' Emmy-winning series The Talk. Tyler is also a regular character on the CBS drama series Criminal Minds.

Aisha describes herself as an avid gamer and tech enthusiast. Basically Aisha can be aptly described as a one-woman content machine due to her capability as an engineer, host, producer, shooter and editor of multiple short films along with music videos.

Karen Chupka is the senior vice president at CES. According to Chupka there can be no one else as perfect of a brand ambassador for CES than Aisha. Aisha has been tearing down barriers for women and diversity in technology in an effortless manner. Aisha also embodies the integration and use of technology in everyday life. In nut shell Aisha is the super example of how tech can positively influence lives.

In 2011 iTunes chose Aisha’s podcast as the best new comedy podcast of the year as it garnered more than 17 million downloads. Aisha produces the podcast with nothing more than two microphones, an iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch.

According to Aisha herself, technology has not only made her life better in many ways, but has also made it more creatively robust, dynamic and productive. Tech is Aisha’s artistic secret weapon, therefore she is honored to be the CES ambassador.

“As a podcaster, author, producer and filmmaker, I can attest to how technology has not only made my life better, but more creatively robust, dynamic and productive in every way,” said Tyler.

“I recently directed my first feature film in just seven days on a microbudget, and technology played into every aspect of completing that creative mission effectively. Technological innovation is my artistic secret weapon. I am incredibly honored to be the CES ambassador for 2017.”

CES is owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association CTA. CES 2017 will run through January 5-8, 2017 in Las Vegas, NV. CES 2017 will feature more than 3,800 exhibitors showcasing the latest innovations in consumer technology.
