The SNL Show on November 12 will be one for the history books. Dave Chappelle hosts.

NBC just dropped a big bomb. Legendary stand-up comedian Dave Chappelle will host Saturday Night Live on November 12, marking his much-anticipated debut on the show. It is a surprising fact that Chappelle has not yet hosted SNL. Now it is finally happening.

Joining Dave Chappelle in Studio 8H are also legendary hip-hop group A Tribe Called Quest, who are releasing their first and last studio album in 18 years, “We Got It From Here ... Thank You 4 Your Service” due out November 11. The new album is the last to feature founding member Phife Dawg.

The announcement of Dave Chappell hosting SNL somehow diminishes Benedict Cumberbatch hosting premiere this Saturday, November 5. with musical guest Solange. Cumberbatch is on promotion tour for Doctor Strange, which opens in theaters today. 

43-year-old Dave Chappelle rose to nation-wide fame with his sketch comedy television series, Chappelle's Show launched in 2003. 

The SNL show after the Presidential election will a lot depend on how America votes. At this point SNL writers only can prepare outlines of the skids for the show. The Presidential election is on November 8. SNL airs at 11:30pm ET on NBC.
