Tesla has made a few changes in its electric car line up. The most significant of these include the discontinuation of P90D variations of Model S and Model X.

It was reported by Electrek that P90D is now being formulated as a sedan and an SUV type vehicle. Thus after being discontinued, the model P100D has become the company’s most high performance model in the lineup of cars.

Tesla has started working rigorously on the mileage and charging limit of its cars for the past two years. This is the reason that they have phased out the 85kWh batteries and are now focusing on the production of 100 kWh batteries only.

This discontinuation of a P90D model will make a gap of almost $42,000 in the lineup of vehicles. This gap is supposed to be filled by upcoming 100kWh battery cars. We are expecting that the company is soon going to launch a sedan which will have a mileage of about 294 to 315 miles.

This mileage will be achieved in a single charge of battery which was never offered by the company earlier on. Along with that it will be super-fast as well. It is supposed to reach 0-60 miles per hour in less than four seconds.

Tesla has also added a new kind of roof to the Model S. The customers will be able to get an option of all-glass roof option in their Model S in $1500. This is the same price which was previously set for sunroof.

The CEO Elon Musk has recently confirmed that company’s own glass division will work on these roofs and will be helping in placing the large pieces of glass on its vehicles.

The customers will be able to get a panoramic roof in $2000 which according to Tesla has the capacity to hold UV by 98% and heat by 81%.
