The weirdest thing to see on the Walmart online store are the Hatchimals deals. The retailer has announced to dramatically increase the number of products offered on online through marketplace partners.

Now Walmart's marketplace partners are offering Hatchimals at outragous prices of $199. The Amazon marketplace is definitely more mature and reflects the market values of Hatchimals in a much better way. The offers on amazon from 3rd parties match what Hatchimals sell for in eBay auctions.

Listings like that reflect kind of badly on the image of Walmart. When you look at the page of Walmart's online specials, you see among the deals listed a $199 Hatchimals. That just does not look right.

There is certainly some room for improvements of how marketplace offers should be displayed online at walmart.com, so it is clear to shoppers that these items are not sold by Walmart directly. See our Hatchimals Shopping guide for the latest on the Hatchimals stock situation.
