Alec Baldwin and Kate McKinnon break character in the SNL cold open to urge Americans to vote.

The last Saturday Night Live episode ahead of the Presidential election took one last effort to get Americans to vote. In the cold open of the episode hosted by Benedict Cumberbatch, Cecily Strong appeared as CNN’s Erin Burnett to interview Donald Trump (Alec Baldwin) and Hillary Clinton (Kate McKinnon).

The skid between Alec Baldwin and Kate McKinnon just got old, when both ran out of the studio and started to embrace random people on Time Square. This is fund and emotional to watch. When coming back to the studio, both urged Americans to go out there and vote.

Benedict Cumberbatch opened his monologue with a sexy soul song talking about himself. He is not just a great actor, Cumberbatch is an incredible entertainer. In one of the skids Cumberbatch takes on the classic Apple Super Bowl ad with an ad about toilets. "Introducing the Koohl Toilet by Kohler." Watch below.

Here is a tip for SNL fans outside of the US. You can watch last night's SNL episode with the SNL app. The SNL Youtube channel is region locked, but not the SNL app, which is anyway a must have for SNL fans, as it gives access to the vast archives of legendary SNL clips.

Next week's SNL episode will be hosted by Dave Chappelle. No matter how the election is going, this SNL episode will be one for the history books.
