Update: The real John Lewis Christmas 2016 Ad has been released and it is wonderful and very entertaining.

The John Lewis Christmas 2016 Ad is due today based on last year's release time of the ad. Ahead of the reveal of the traditionally elaborate and emotional Christmas ad a fake John Lewis Christmas 2016 commercial has gotten a lot of attention. It is rather well made and very emotional, but its a student's work.

The video was already uploaded in the summer, but social media has made it viral ahead of the real John Lewis Christmas 2016 Ad. The anticipation for the retailer's ad is enormous. Last year John Lewis teased the Man on the Moon ad ahead of the release. Now fans look everywhere to find a clue.

The weird Man on the Moon ad has almost 25 million views on Youtube. The 2013 and 2014 John Lewis ads had more Holiday joy than last year's. It still was very successful and people talked about. While waiting for the legit John Lewis Christmas 2016 Ad, watch the cute Snowman trapped in the Snowglobe 3D animated fake John Lewis commercial.

The John Lewis Christmas 2016 ad will be released on Thursday according to The Telegraph. This year's John Lewis Holiday commercial will not have any sad side tones like the ad last year. It is directed again by Dougal Wilson was responsible for hugely popular John Lewis Christmas commercial "The Long Wait" which showed a little boy eagerly counting down the days until Christmas so he could give his parents their present.

The video took two weeks to make and is no match to the millions John Lewis is spending on the production of its Christmas ads each year. In the UK there are even John Lewis viewing parties in pubs and breakfast places. The John Lewis Christmas ad has though gained a lot of popularity outside of Great Britain. John Lewis is a chain of upmarket department stores operating throughout the United Kingdom. The chain is owned by the John Lewis Partnership, which was created alongside the first store in the mid-1800s.
