If you are wondering how this Touch bar works then a new tool is here for assistance. This tool was shared on GitHub. This tool is an app known as Touch bar demo. It allows users to get familiar with the Touch bar in two different ways.

In the first way the app allows you use the Touch bar as a standalone app on your Mac. Through this app you do not get to experience the real ‘touch’ capability. However, you will get to see how this feature works in various apps of the MacBook.

 

 

You will be required to press hardware function keys and scroll through the options on screen. The options which appear are similar to the app switcher. The other method is to use the Touch bar through your iPad.

You will be required to connect it via USB. This method does bring in full functionality of the Touch bar. The Touch bar will appear on the screen and you can control it via touch. The icons are pretty responsive and switch immediately as per the app.
