Doctor Strange Leads Weekend Box Office
 

The new Marvel movie has taken the top spot at the Box office in the US and world-wide this weekend.

Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange has taken the Box office weekend with an estimated Benedict Cumberbatch $85 million in ticket sales according to Comscore. At the world-wide box office Doctor Strange has already collected over $203 million.

In the new Marvel movie Doctor Strange, Dr. Stephen Strange's (Benedict Cumberbatch) life changes after a car accident robs him of the use of his hands. When traditional medicine fails him, he looks for healing, and hope, in a mysterious enclave. He quickly learns that the enclave is at the front line of a battle against unseen dark forces bent on destroying reality. Before long, Strange is forced to choose between his life of fortune and status or leave it all behind to defend the world as the most powerful sorcerer in existence.

Doctor Strange beat Trolls and Hacksaw Ridge this weekend in cinemas around the country. The final weekend box office numbers are expected on Monday. 

Benedict Cumberbatch ended is promotion tour for Doctor Strange with hosting the SNL show. He appeared in many skids, including one that made fun of the legendary Apple Super Bowl ad.
