Pokemon Go Update 0.45.0 for Android and 1.15.0 Bring Daily Bonus

Niantic announced new Pokemon Go updates.

The new Pokemon Go app updates 0.45.0 for Android and 1.15.0 Bring the Daily Bonus program, Niantic has announced last week. Trainers earn bonuses for the first Pokemon catch and PokeStop visit each day. They receive a larger bonus when you do this seven days in a row.

The release notes of the 0.45.0 release do not mention the bonus for catching Pokemon. The new version features improvements for Gym battles. When you defeat the Gym Leader at a rival Gym, there will be a brief period of time where only you will be able to place a Pokémon in the open Gym.

Niantic also increased amount of Prestige a rival Gym loses when you defeat a regular Gym member has increased. The amount of Prestige gained by training at a friendly Gym has been lowered.

As always, it will take some time until the new Pokemon Go updates will be available in the Google Play store and on iTunes. APK Mirror has already the 0.45.0 APK file for download. Proceed on your own risk, downloading and installing APKs.

Early users of the new version experience issues with PokeStops. Niantic put a speed limit on spinning PokeStops. This has already angered a lot of trainers. This is yet another move by Niantic to not encourage to play Pokemon Go while in a car. The speed limit appears to be 25mph. There is already a speed limit on the Pokemon you can see in Sightings, now there is a speed limit on spinning PokeStops too. More Pokemon Go news.
