  • Tesla Showcases the Model 3 Prototype with new Steering in Tesla Party

Elon Musk teased another feature of the upcoming and already famous Model 3.

The earlier prototypes of Model 3 showed steering wheels that were unlike the conventional ones. The CEO of Tesla Elon Musk, himself had said earlier that these steering wheels were not the ones that will be used in the real car.

He has said that they were more “Space ship like”. Thus we were waiting for the real steering of the car to be revealed too. The wait has finally come to an end as the steering wheel was disclosed in a new prototype of Model 3 which was showcased in a Tesla party recently.

The event was a “family and friends event” hosted by the company itself. The party took place at a soccer stadium in San Jose in order to celebrate the recent record quarter.

The highlight of this party was a silver Model 3 prototype which was showcased for the first time. There are many things that we are already aware about their prototype but it surely had a new steering wheel. This wheel looked nothing like that of a space ship.

The steering wheel looks sturdy and has buttons or controls on it which were not offered in any prototype earlier on.  Along with that a few changes to placeholder, if it is considered as that for now, can be observed too. This had a few new buttons at sides as well which were not present before.

According to Electrek, the company designers are still debating on the door handle on Model 3. The model X which will be revealed in a few months has a curve at the edge of doors which you need to press in order to retract the door handles to open the door.
