  • Huge Snowballs have turned up on Siberian Shores

Apparently, huge snowballs have turned up on Siberian shores. These are a source of amusement for the locals.

A weird yet gorgeous sight presented itself to the natives of the Gulf of Ob. The Siberians came upon thousands of snowballs on the coastal shore. An 11 mile-long area was filled with the balls of ice.

Some of them were the size of a human fist while others were a meter across. These snowballs formed due to a unique process where small pieces of ice started collecting the surrounding snow and soon became snowballs.

Locals of Nyda say that they have yet to see such a wonderful display of natural dimensions. It is indeed beautiful to gaze at in admiration. This natural phenomenon consists of sludge ice and slob ice.

Other factors such as the wind, the coastline, temperature and conditions of the weather count here too. They aid in the formation of the giant snowballs, according to Siberiantimes via BBC.

The selfsame phenomenon was observed off the Gulf of Finland in 2014. The snowballs in Siberia have given rise to inside jokes among the populace. Some are saying the “snowsaurs” are attacking the coastline.

Also many consider the snowballs as being ideal instruments for a snowball fight of the kind that occurs in the conditions where a snowman is built from snow.

The dumping of these giant snowballs on the coast of Siberia shows that Nature has its sculptural effects which are truly aesthetic in their dimensions. The snowballs, some of which which are as large as basketballs, make for shapely entries in the lives of Siberians who frequent the beach.

Such an occurrence has never happened before. So it is something completely new for the locals. The combination of the water and frosty temperatures not to mention accumulation of matter in the case of the snowballs leads to such a brilliant display of round structures on the Siberian coastline that they bedazzle anyone who sets eyes on them.
