A new F-type sports car with a our-cylinder diesel engine is being tested by Jaguar these days

Jaguar is testing these days a 2.0 liter diesel engine in its F-type sports car. A sports car by company was spotted testing near the Royal Leamington Spa. This spa is really close to Jaguar’s headquarters at Coventry.

The spy photographs showcase a car which is being tested for 2.0 liter diesel by Jaguar. When the data was collected against the license plate of the car, it was revealed that it was being tested for a new diesel engine by company which is under development since April 2016.

The pictures also revealed that the person behind the wheel was none other than Mike Cross who is the chief engineer of Jaguar Land Rover. Jaguar was rumored from a long time to develop the diesel variant for F-Type.

Along with that a four cylinder petrol version of the upcoming Ingenium engine too. The new petrol engine is supposed to produce an output of 300bhp in the F-type, according to AutoCar.

It was also reported earlier that the F-type diesel engine was terminated by the company. However it is now confirmed that it will be started and developed again. The pictures and the source have confirmed it too.

Jaguar will be presenting its F-type facelift car soon too. This car is expected to be unveiled late next year. Thus it is the reason that we can believe that a four cylinder variant of engine is coming to town with this car too.

These kind of engines mean that the company is aiming to compete head on with Porsche. The Porsche Boxster with the same features like this F-type is available for 40,000 pounds. This we are expecting the same level for this one too.
