The rival to Hyundai’s Nuke was spotted which is under development these days

Hyundai is testing and developing a new SUV of small size these days. The SUV is supposed to be a part of company’s lineup in the year 2018.

It is supposed to rival the Nissan Juke and Vauxhall Mokka X which are both small SUVS. It is supposed to compete with upcoming small SUVs such as Seat Arona and Skoda too.

Hyundai has recently trademarked the ix25 and ix30 badge for Europe. However the UK CEO of Hyundai Tony Whitehorn denied any kind of plans to import these badges in Europe to be used in SUVS of small size or any other vehicle.

The ix35 badge was previously used in the Tucson while the ix25 badge is supposed to go with the concept of a small SUV which was later on named as Creta.

Whitehorn recently told in an interview that the SUVs of Hyundai are named in a way other than alphanumeric titles in order to separate them from the other models of brand which are produced in volume such as the i10, i20 and i30.

Thus we can say that based on this assumption, this new SUV will have a unique name like that of Santa Fe and Tucson.

The SUV which was spotted and photographed while under test shows headlights similar to that of rear light cluster of i30 and i20. These will also showcase LED daytime lights at the front of car. It was introduced earlier on in the i30, according to AutoCar.

The new SUV will share an engine with the 2017 i30. We are expecting to see a turbocharged 1.0 liter and turbocharged 1.4 liter petrol engine in the SUV. Along with that 1.6 liter diesel variant of engine can be seen in the car too.
