Brad Pitt gets cleared of the allegations of child abuse against him by the Department of Children and Family Services

Brad Pitt can now move ahead with relief and rigour as he has been cleared of child abuse allegations. On September 19th, Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from the 52 year old actor claiming irreconcilable difference and for the sake of the health of her family.

Shortly after, news got around that Brad had been in a physical altercation with their oldest son Maddox while they had been traveling on a private jet to the U.S.

The FBI were involved in the investigation to determine not only that the incident had been one of child abuse but also if the case was a federal case or an international one.

Meanwhile, Angelina filed for the sole custody of her children in the divorce agreement while Brad filed for joint custody. His case was alack until he could be cleared of the alleged child abuse charges.

The Department of Children and Family Services in L.A. California investigated the case for the family and also help draft a temporary custody agreement.

However the DCFS settled the child abuse investigation a few days ago and according to their report, the incident in the private jet has been ruled out as a case of child abuse.

Both the actors and the children were thoroughly questioned and asked to give their eye witness statement which led to the conclusion that Brad had not physically abused Maddox, according to THR.

Angelina Jolie’s representative voiced her sentiment on the results of the investigation saying that she was glad that the incident has been put to rest.

According to TMZ, the rep said that the actress is relieved that her children will now have time to heal from the ordeal. It does not look good however for her pursuit of sole custody in the divorce case. Brad, cleared of child abuse charges, has a strong case to appeal for joint custody of their six children.
