Within a day of the American presidential election outcome, a great number of people are shocked and vindictive towards the outcome.

Many are scared of the views of the new regime and even fearing for their rights and lives and their futures. Many people have come out to protest the outcome of the election while many other are even contemplating leaving the country.

In this time, Run The Jewel decided to drop their brand new track “2100” featuring Boots. The rap duo Killer Mike and El-P said that they had penned the track months prior and it was supposed to be a part of their upcoming album Run The Jewels 3.

They said in a statement that, "For our friends, for our family. For everyone who is hurting or scared right now. Here is a song we wrote months ago. We weren't planning on releasing it yet, but … well it feels right, now.

Releasing the track on Soundcloud, the duo made a statement which said that, "It’s about fear and it’s about love and it’s about wanting more for all of us. It’s called 2100. We hope it finds you well."

With an opening organ music, Killer Mike raps, "How long before the hate that we hold lead us to another Holocaust?" He questions and later adds, "Say the revolution's right here/ Right now and they ain't calling off."

The song is encouraging people to rise in face of hate and fight for their right and differentiate what is right and wrong. The song is empowering the masses who feel let down by the election results.

The song was produced by El-P with co-production from Little Shalimar and Wilder Zoby.
