Adele earns her way to the top spot of Heat magazine’s Richest Celebrity this year as One Direction dismantle to take individual spots

With the double platinum record sales and The ‘Adele Live 2016’ world tour worth £112 million at the box office; Adele added a spectacular £53.9 million compared to her £38.1 million worth last year to a total of £92 million fortune, making her the richest British celebrity in the Heat magazine’s Richest Celebrity list.

The songstress was at the fourth spot last year in the magazine’s list. Things have changed of course since the release of her album 25 last year in November.

Almost after one year, the 28 years old Adele is richer than last year so much so that she climbed to the top spot of the list altogether.
There is one other factor that can be attributed to Adele’s climb to the top.

The previous topper of the list was the boy band, One Direction. Their collective income placed them on top of the list last year. Earlier this year however, the band took an undecided hiatus to pursue their solo careers in music and movies.

This led to the magazine breaking down the band members and placing them on the list individually. Even then, all the members managed to remain in the Top 10 of the list.

Former band member, Zayn Malik took the fourth spot with £38m. He was closely followed by just 1 million difference at £37m by Harry Styles, according to Billborad.

Starting from the seventh spot, Liam Payne with £34m, Niall Horan with £34m and Louis Tomlinson with £33m gave chase. Ed Sheeran found his way on the list with £45m despite having released no new music.

The Harry Potter trio also made their presence known with Daniel Radcliffe taking the second spot with £74m, Emma Watson at sixth place with £35.7m and Rupert Grint taking the 10th spot with £29.3m.

Other stars further down the grid include Little Mix at 11, Rita Ora at 21 and former Skins star Jack O’Connell at number 27.
