The 7 model range is expected to expand up to 15 models.

Audi Sport which is the rival brand for Mercedes AMG is considering to increase the range of models in its fleet. This is the reason that they have announced that the company will be offering new models in the range in the next 18 months. This plan was revealed by Audi RS boss Stephen Winkelmann.

Audi has introduced seven RS models in this range up till now. The company is now looking for an addition of more models. The R8and soft top TT models in the lineup along with eight more new models will be launched by early 2018. Winkelmann said that they are an exclusive brand and will remain one. He also said that there are more to models to come.

The RS range by company have some of the hottest version of Audis you can find anywhere. It had different version of A3, Q3, TT, A6 and A7, according to AutoCar.

As we now know that new models will be included, we are still not aware of the models that will be added in the range. It is likely that A1, A4 and Q5 will be considered to be included in this range.

The new boss of Audi RS is actually the former boss of Lamborghini. He took the join February this year. Winkelmann has started a resolution to direct the range of RS in a different direction than rival AMG.

Do note that the sales of AMG cars is soaring from the past two years whereas the RS brand is yet to make a drastic impact in market.

AMG is selling almost 80,000 units per year, the new revolution in RS might let it sales up to 20,000 units at least. The company is surely hoping to grow more from now on.
